We first take time to get to know the client, their goals, and their vision, and then discuss exactly what we can do to help them meet their goals. Transparency is incredibly important to us, and we want to educate our customers so they understand exactly what we’re doing for them, whether it’s website design, SEO, or something else. Then we will create a plan that helps them reach their goals within a defined budget and timeline. We work to have open communications throughout the project to ensure that we are meeting the set goals, budget, and timelines.
Team Training: We’re a big believer in on-going training and outside of work hours training. Our industry is very fast paced and ever changing, so we make sure to have tools available to assist with staying on top of current trends and updates in our field.

Heather was part of a Fortune 100 company for over fourteen years. She played an instrumental role in the national expansion of the company and was responsible for creating a new regional market in the state of Texas. After establishing Life In Motion in 2011, she uses the knowledge and experience she gained at that Fortune 100 company to help launch businesses and brands today.

We helped a brand new, locally owned restaurant in Frisco, Texas. We worked with them to launch their new brand, advertise their location, design and develop their website, create a strong online presence with social media marketing, and host a successful VIP grand opening event. Within three months, this restaurant had over 8,000 followers within a ten-mile radius. Within a year, the restaurant was grossing $90,000 a week, and the owners opened two new locations in different markets. We were their sole marketing firm (and we still are).
No matter what stage of business you are in, if you are not growing, you are dying. There is no such thing as maintaining. There are several companies to choose from and there’s a lot of misinformation out there, especially when it comes to SEO and social media. One red flag to watch for is if the company is using only technical jargon when explaining their services to you. If they really know what they’re doing, they’ll be able to tell you what they’re doing and explain how it helps your business in non-technical terms.

Make sure you’re getting your money’s worth because there are so many marketing agencies in business that are charging ridiculous fees for less-than-satisfactory work. You would be amazed at how many of our clients came to us because they got a “great” deal on a website, but after spending hundreds or thousands of dollars on their website, it was not functioning or had completely crashed after a short period of time.

Think through what your competitive edge is. What makes you different from your competitors? Why would someone pick your company over someone else’s? 

Think about your main vision, goal, and purpose of your business. Your marketing, branding and identity should match.

It’s also a good idea to gather the marketing strategies you’ve used in the past to gain clients, what worked and what didn’t, and why.

Finally, is your business plan ready to embrace growth? If you were to increase your sales and customer base by 20–50%, do you have the proper systems in place to manage that growth? If you start to gain momentum but your business isn’t equipped for it, it could be devastating for your company’s reputation.
